WE LEAD began as the Leadership project (aka Quest) of Danielle White in 2008.

WE LEAD includes the Annual WE LEAD Global Conference (2009 NYC / 2010 Spain / 2011 Japan / 2012 California, USA / 2013 TBC)

Until the end of 2009 we had The Call, a non-profit volunteer organization that had held Call Retreats and created connection within the graduate community. The Call dissolved because it was an un-sustainable model where a few people worked hard and donated their time and energy to create a 'container' for the wider community.

WE LEAD is set up as a business and the long-term goal is to create both jobs for graduates and business opportunities within WE LEAD gatherings and online. There is always room for input and there will probably always be a component of voluntarism as well due to the global nature of the community and the scope of the conference.
